Thankfully, innovative and creative research and development, objectively supported by rigorous third-party standardized testing, is enabling biometric authentication to truly transcend its notso-secure roots, paving the way for a revolution in how we protect our identities in the digital world. And it all hinges on a simple concept that has been anything but simple to create: liveness detection.
