GET Group NA upgrades biometric identity management platform for end-to-end credentials

GET Group North America has released an upgraded version of its CoreID Identity Management System (IDMS) for biometric identity authentication and secure credentials distribution in real time, the company announced.

The CoreID 2.0 Platform helps distributors of corporate and government credentials such as Divisions of Motor Vehicles (DMVs) analyze data such as images and video for identity authentication and to emit secure credentials during enrollment.

The system integrates biometric capture and facial recognition with a backend document database to monitor physical or digital credentials and manage biometrics and data enrollment workflow. CoreID 2.0 is operating system-agnostic and highly modular with Service-Oriented-Architecture (SOA) that supports both new and legacy infrastructures.

“Its flexibility, ease of customization and scalability set CoreID 2.0 apart from competing solutions. CoreID 2.0’s queuing system data model puts safeguards on every component with identity validation as a Dossier tied to an individual’s identity moves through the workflow issuance process – ensuring the most secure IDs possible,” said in a prepared statement Joel Perez, Program & Solutions Director, GET Group North America.

Biometric data, such as portrait image, signature and fingerprints, are stored in an element called Dossier, alongside residential information, name and date of birth. The Dossier will create the type of document required to be emitted, whether it’s an ID, a driver’s license or passport.

CoreID 2.0 is also equipped with an enrollment workstation that may have different tools such as a high-resolution camera, document scanner or signature pad to collect biometric data, the facial recognition server for real-time facial validation and print manager for central issuance configuration. Thanks to these add-ons, CoreID 2.0 validates identity and issues a new, trusted physical or mobile document in minutes.

The first version of CoreID was launched in 2018.

GET Group North America will present its latest solution this month at connect:ID 2020 in Washington, D.C.
