Fingerprint scanner from Suprema ID now supports biometric log-in with Windows Hello

The BioMini Slim 2 ultra-slim FAP 20 fingerprint scanner from Suprema ID now supports Windows Hello, enabling Windows 10 users to log in to their devices, apps, services and accounts with biometrics instead of passwords.
Suprema ID points out in a press release that Windows Hello biometrics are widely considered a more user-friendly, secure and reliable sign-in mechanism than traditional log-ins, and that the technology can help organizations eliminate passwords, boosting privacy and data security.
The BioMini Slim 2 is Citrix Ready and compliant with the FIDO2 standard, extending the convenience of biometric authentication to online services through mobile and desktop web browsers.
“We are pleased to offer a Windows Hello solution to our global customers who are using BioMini Slim 2 that has been certified by FBI/FAP20 certified high image quality and award-winning Live Finger Detection function powered by our own deep-learning technology,” comments Suprema ID CEO Bogun Park. “Our Windows Hello offering strengthens our commitment to increasing security and convenience for our customers.”
Passwordless account access has also been a major theme at this year’s RSA.
